A Striptease Among Pals
A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara
This review shows the strange fact that some critics and reviewers are easily blended by a work that appeals to the stereotyped, globalized mass society and it's half-educated people who look for confirmation of their deep rooted victimhood. Therefore it got prizes and recommendations. Critical scrutinies, like this one by Daniel Mendelsohn, are rare. Thanks to the NYRB providing an off-voice.
